The Aries AF-10-3231 fits any standard 10-inch filter housing and is particularly effective in post-reverse osmosis systems where RO membranes strip minerals and lower pH. The calcite media dissolves gradually on contact with acidic water, releasing calcium carbonate to neutralize pH without overcorrection. Best suited for whole-house applications with acidic well water or as a polishing stage after RO. Note that this filter will increase water hardness by 4-5 GPG as a byproduct of the neutralization process.
