Installation Steps
- Clean the copper pipe end thoroughly with emery cloth and apply flux to both the pipe and the inside of the sweat adapter.
- Slide the Fleck 41242-01 adapter onto the copper pipe, ensuring full insertion to the shoulder of the fitting.
- Apply heat evenly with a propane torch and feed lead-free solder around the joint until a complete bead forms at the connection.
- Allow the joint to cool naturally, then thread the adapter to your Fleck control valve inlet or outlet port with Teflon tape or pipe dope.
