Fleck (F5600M-CSA) 5600 5 Cycle, Standard Softener Meter Valve, #1 Injector, No DLFC
Fleck 5600M-CSA 5-Cycle Standard Softener Meter Valve
Meter-Initiated Regeneration Cycle
Double Backwash
Up to 7 GPM backwash rate lifts and flushes accumulated sediment and compacted resin bed, restoring flow capacity and preparing media for regeneration.
Brine Draw and Slow Rinse
1600-series injector draws brine solution through the resin bed, displacing hardness ions with sodium and restoring the resin's exchange capacity.
Fast Rinse
Raw water flushes residual brine and displaced hardness from the resin bed, returning the system to service condition.
Brine Tank Refill
Adjustable brine fill cycle refills the brine tank to preset level, dissolving salt in preparation for the next regeneration event.
Service Mode
Mechanical meter tracks water usage from 125 to 2,125 gallons (standard) or 625 to 10,625 gallons (extended range), initiating regeneration only when capacity is exhausted.

Typical Applications and Tank Sizing
The Fleck 5600M-CSA is designed for residential and light commercial water softeners using 6" to 12" diameter mineral tanks, as well as iron filters, sediment filters, carbon filters, and neutralizing filters in 6" to 10" diameter tanks. This model requires a separately-purchased drain line flow control (DLFC) sized to match your tank diameter and desired backwash rate: 1.2 GPM for 8" x 44" tanks, 1.5 GPM for 9" x 48", 2.0 GPM for 9" x 48", 2.4 GPM for 10" x 54", 3.0 GPM for 12" x 52", 3.5 GPM for 13" x 54", 4.0 GPM for 13" x 54", and 5.0 GPM for 14" x 65" tanks. The #1 injector included with this valve is suitable for most residential softening applications; consult your system design specifications if a different injector size is
