Watts Premier

Reverse Osmosis Membrane with Built-In Check Valve

High-rejection TDS membrane engineered for FMRO4-MAN, WP-5, and WP-4V systems
2-5 Year Service Life Built-In Check Valve 1/10,000 Micron Filtration TDS Reduction

This semi-permeable membrane is the core filtration element in Watts Premier residential RO systems, reducing dissolved solids and contaminants down to 0.0001 micron. It targets a wide range of inorganic compounds including arsenic, lead, perchlorate, chromium, copper, radium, and protozoan cysts like Giardia and Cryptosporidium.

HOW IT WORKS

Reverse Osmosis Filtration Process

1
PRESSURE

Feed Water Entry

Pressurized water from pre-filters enters the membrane housing and contacts the semi-permeable membrane surface.

2
SEPARATION

Molecular Filtration

The membrane separates pure water molecules from dissolved solids, contaminants, and TDS at 1/10,000 of a micron. Rejected contaminants are routed to drain through the flow restrictor.

3
CHECK

Built-In Check Valve

Integrated check valve prevents backflow contamination and maintains pressure integrity in the system. Permeate water flows forward to the storage tank.

COMPATIBILITY

System Applications

This membrane is designed for Watts Premier residential reverse osmosis systems including the FMRO4-MAN, WP-5, WP-4V, and WP4-V models. Compatible with systems using the newer in-line flow restrictor design, which allows for cleaning and reuse rather than replacement with each membrane change. Membrane service life ranges from 2 to 5 years depending on local water conditions, daily usage volume, and pre-filter maintenance schedules. Models 560014, 560016, 560018, 560020, and 560022.
