Omnipure - K2551 - 10" x 2" Calcite/Corosex - For Higher pH
10" x 2" Calcite/Corosex pH Neutralizing Filter
Dual-media blend engineered to correct acidic water conditions and raise pH above neutral for less corrosive, safer water
Engineered for Low pH Correction
Balanced Media Blend
50% calcite and 50% Corosex work together to neutralize acidic water. Calcite dissolves slowly for gentle pH adjustment, while magnesium-based Corosex accelerates the process for faster correction.
Targets pH 5.5 to 6.0
This dual-media formulation is specifically recommended for water with pH levels between 5.5 and 6.0. For higher pH ranges (6.0-6.8), calcite-only filters are more appropriate.
Reduces Corrosion
Acidic water corrodes pipes, fixtures, and appliances. By raising pH to neutral or slightly alkaline levels, this filter protects your plumbing infrastructure and extends equipment life.
Quick Connect Design
0.25 inch female quick connect (FQC) fittings on both ends for fast, tool-free installation in any compatible inline water filtration system. 10" x 2" form factor fits standard housings.
Technical Details
| Model Number | Omnipure K2551 |
| Dimensions | 10 inches x 2 inches |
| Media Composition | 50% Calcite / 50% Corosex (magnesium) |
| Connection Type | 1/4" Female Quick Connect (FQC) |
| Recommended pH Range | 5.5 – 6.0 (input) |
| Filter Type | Specialty / Acid Neutralizing |
System Integration
The Omnipure K2551 is designed for inline installation in reverse osmosis systems, whole house filtration setups, or standalone point-of-use applications where pH correction is needed. The 1/4 inch female quick connect fittings are compatible with standard RO tubing and most modern water filtration systems using push-fit connections. Note that NPT sizing differs from actual diameter measurements: a 1/4" NPT fitting measures approximately 0.540" in actual diameter, not 0.25".
Replacement Schedule
Standard Replacement
Replace the K2551 filter cartridge every 6 to 12 months depending on water acidity and daily usage volume. More acidic water or higher flow rates will exhaust media faster.
Monitor pH Levels
Test output water pH periodically. If pH drops below 7 or approaches input levels, media is exhausted and the cartridge should be replaced immediately regardless of time elapsed.
Omnipure Quality
Manufactured by Omnipure, a trusted name in specialty water filtration media and inline cartridge systems
Protects Equipment
Prevents acidic corrosion in pipes, water heaters, and filtration components downstream
Fast Installation
Quick connect fittings allow cartridge replacement in under 60 seconds without tools or mess
