INSTALLATION & USE

Replacing Your Q-Series Membrane

  1. Shut off water supply to the RO system and relieve system pressure by opening the faucet until water stops flowing
  2. Twist the old TQ56 membrane counterclockwise to unlock, then pull straight out from the manifold housing
  3. Insert the new Omnipure TQ56 membrane into the housing, aligning the tabs, and twist clockwise until it locks into place
  4. Turn water supply back on and check for leaks at the connection points before returning system to service
  5. Flush the new membrane by running water through the system for 30 minutes before use
COMPATIBILITY

System Compatibility

The TQ56 membrane works with Omnipure PuROTwist 4000 and PuROTwist 3000 reverse osmosis systems, as well as any residential RO system designed for Q-Series encapsulated filters. The built-in flow restrictor is calibrated for 50 GPD production, eliminating the need for separate inline flow control components. This membrane also fits Omnipure EZ-450 and EZ-450P housings that accept Q-Series cartridges.

🔧 The integrated check valve prevents backflow that can damage the membrane, but verify your system doesn't have a redundant check valve downstream that could create excessive back pressure and reduce production capacity.
