Where This Filter Works

The Pentek ECP5-BB fits standard 10-inch Big Blue filter housings with 4.5-inch diameters. It's designed for whole house sediment filtration, well water applications, and commercial installations where high dirt-holding capacity and low pressure drop are critical. The pleated design and 18 square feet of media surface area provide significantly longer service life than non-pleated cartridges. Use this filter as a primary sediment barrier to protect downstream equipment including carbon filters, water softeners, RO membranes, and appliances. The resin-impregnated construction maintains structural integrity even when saturated, preventing media migration and cartridge collapse under flow.

💧 The vinyl plastisol end caps on the ECP5-BB are molded around the pleats to create a leak-proof seal without adhesives, which means no bypass and no cartridge unloading during pressure surges.
