PureT TFCK-1812 Technical Details
| Model Number | TFCK-1812 |
| Dimensions | 1.8" Diameter x 12" Length |
| Weight | 15 oz |
| Membrane Type | Thin Film Composite (TFC) |
| Operating Pressure | 40-145 psi |
| Operating Temperature | 40-100°F |
| Membrane Life | 2-5 years (typical) |
| Shipping Condition | Dry (for extended shelf life) |
Membrane Replacement Procedure
- Shut off water supply to the RO system and relieve pressure by opening the faucet. Disconnect the feed and permeate lines from the membrane housing.
- Unscrew the membrane housing cap, remove the old membrane, and inspect housing for sediment buildup or damage. Rinse housing interior if needed.
- Insert the new PureT TFCK-1812 membrane with the brine seal end facing into the housing. The membrane will slide into the housing cap fitting.
- Reinstall the housing cap hand-tight, reconnect all tubing, and restore water supply. Flush the system for 30-60 minutes before use to remove preservatives.
- Check all connections for leaks after pressurization. Monitor water quality and flow rate over the first week to confirm proper installation.
System Fitment
The PureT TFCK-1812 membrane is designed as a universal replacement for residential reverse osmosis systems using standard 1812-format membranes. This includes most countertop and under-sink RO units from major manufacturers. The 1.8" diameter and 12" length are industry-standard dimensions that fit conventional membrane housings without modification. Verify your existing membrane size before ordering, as some compact or commercial systems may require different formats such as 2012 or 3012 elements.
