Rusco 3/4" Sediment Trapper with Flush Valve - Polyester or Stainless Steel
Technical Details
| Model Series | Rusco 3/4-ST-F (Sediment Trapper with Flush Valve) |
| Port Size | 3/4" FPT inlet and outlet |
| Flow Capacity | 1-25 GPM |
| Maximum Pressure | 150 PSI |
| Screen Options | Polyester: 24, 30, 40, 60, 100, 140, 250, 500, 1000 mesh Stainless Steel: 30, 60, 100, 140, 200 mesh |
| Dimensions | 14-3/8" L x 5" W |
| Housing Material | PVC head, high-impact polymer clear cover |
| Screen Type | Cleanable and reusable polyester or stainless steel |
Setup and Maintenance
- Install on main water line after the pressure tank with flow direction matching the arrow on the head. Use 3/4" FPT connections and ensure adequate clearance below the unit for cover removal.
- Select mesh size based on sediment particle size in your water supply. Lower mesh numbers (24-60) filter larger particles, higher mesh numbers (100-1000) capture finer sediment.
- Monitor sediment accumulation through the clear cover. When debris is visible in the lower reservoir, open the ball flush valve to discharge sediment without removing the cover.
- For deeper cleaning, hand-tighten the cover off (no tools required), remove the screen element, rinse under pressure, and reassemble. The screen is reusable and does not require replacement.
Application Guidelines
The Rusco Sediment Trapper is designed for residential and light commercial applications with heavy sediment loads including well water with sand, silt, or rust particles. Choose this model over the Rusco Spin-Down when sediment concentration is high or when you need maximum debris storage capacity between cleanings. Polyester screens offer the widest mesh range and are suitable for most applications, while stainless steel screens provide enhanced durability for abrasive sediment or high-temperature environments. All Rusco 3/4" systems use non-corrosive molded materials suitable for potable water service.
