Sensafe (481108) Total Hardness; 30 Test Strips

Sensafe 481108

Total Hardness Test Strips

Quick-read water hardness testing for residential, educational, and pool applications
30 Test Strips 30 Second Results 0-1000 ppm Range No Equipment Required
The Sensafe 481108 Total Hardness Test Strips measure calcium and magnesium content in water from 0 to 1000 ppm with a simple one-dip procedure. Ideal for testing drinking water, pool and spa water, or teaching chemistry principles without expensive lab equipment.
HOW IT WORKS

Single-Dip Colorimetric Testing

1
SAMPLE

Collect Water Sample

Dip the Sensafe 481108 test strip into your water source for one second, ensuring full pad immersion. Works with tap water, well water, pool water, or any freshwater sample you need to test.

2
REACT

Wait 30 Seconds

Remove the strip and allow it to develop for 30 seconds. The reagent pad will change color based on the concentration of calcium and magnesium ions present in the water.

3
READ

Match Color to Chart

Compare the test pad to the color chart printed on the bottle. Results are displayed in both ppm (0, 40, 80, 120, 180, 250, 425, 1000 mg/L) and gpg (0, 2, 5, 7, 11, 15, 25, 58 grains per gallon).

COMPATIBILITY

Application Range

The Sensafe 481108 Total Hardness Test Strips work with municipal tap water, well water, pool and spa water, aquarium water, and industrial process water. Use these strips to determine if water softening is needed, verify softener performance, monitor pool chemistry, or conduct educational water quality surveys. Each box contains 30 individually sealed test strips with a shelf life of approximately two years when stored in a cool, dry location.
