Understanding Air Gap vs Non-Air Gap
The VS802 can be configured for either air gap or non-air gap operation depending on your local plumbing code. Non-air gap faucets use a single line from the storage tank to the faucet. Air gap faucets have an empty space built into the base with three lines: one from the tank to the faucet, one from the brine side of your RO membrane, and one drain line for brine water that connects to the drain saddle. The air gap has a small barb for brine inlet (1/4 inch OD tubing) and a large barb for brine outlet (3/8 inch OD tubing). Check your local plumbing code to determine if an air gap is required in your area.
Works With Standard RO Systems
Compatible with most residential reverse osmosis systems using standard 1/4-inch quick-connect tubing. Fits sink cutouts from 7/8 to 1-1/8 inch diameter.
