Mounting the VS888 Faucet
- Verify sink cutout is between 7/8" and 1-1/8" diameter, or drill new hole using knockout punch for stainless steel or specialty tools for porcelain and cast iron sinks
- For air gap models, attach 1/4" OD tubing to small brine inlet barb and 3/8" OD tubing to large brine outlet barb before feeding through mounting hole
- Feed pre-installed tubing and mounting hardware through sink cutout with black rubber gasket aligned at base, then add mounting washer, spacer (if needed), flat washer, lock washer, and mounting nut in sequence
- Hand-tighten mounting nut until faucet barely moves, orient faucet to desired position, then fully tighten without over-torquing
- Connect 1/4" blue inlet tubing to cold water supply using saddle valve or approved method per local plumbing code, and complete RO system connections per unit instructions if applicable
System Requirements and Code Compliance
The Tomlinson VS888 is designed for cold water reverse osmosis applications only and must not be used with hot water supply lines. Air gap models include three-line configuration with tank inlet, brine inlet, and drain outlet to prevent backflow contamination where required by local plumbing codes. Non-air gap models use single-line tank-to-faucet connection for jurisdictions that do not mandate air gap protection. Verify local code requirements before selecting air gap or non-air gap configuration. Compatible with all standard under-sink reverse osmosis systems using 1/4" OD tubing connections.
