Aquatec - PSW Series Shut Off Tank Pressure Switch
Tank Pressure Shut-Off Switch for RO Booster Pumps
Automatic pressure sensing control that cuts power to your booster pump when the storage tank reaches capacity
The Aquatec PSW is an in-line electrical switch that monitors back pressure from your hydropneumatic storage tank and automatically shuts off power to your booster pump when the tank is full. Available in 1/4" and 3/8" quick-connect configurations across four pressure settings — mount it as close to the tank as possible for accurate pressure sensing and reliable system control.
Available Models and Pressure Settings
| Model | Tubing Size | Pressure | Use Case |
| PSW220-00 | 1/4" Quick Connect | 20 PSI | Low-pressure tank systems |
| PSW240-00 | 1/4" Quick Connect | 40 PSI | Standard RO with hydropneumatic shut-off — replaces Shurflo 94-090-01 |
| PSW340-00 | 3/8" Quick Connect | 40 PSI | Standard RO, 3/8" tubing — replaces Shurflo 94-090-02 |
| PSW260-00 | 1/4" Quick Connect | 60 PSI | Higher-pressure residential and light commercial systems |
| PSW360-00 | 3/8" Quick Connect | 60 PSI | Higher-pressure systems with 3/8" tubing |
| PSW280-00 | 1/4" Quick Connect | 80 PSI | High-pressure booster applications |
| PSW380-00 | 3/8" Quick Connect | 80 PSI | High-pressure applications with 3/8" tubing |
Proper Setup for Reverse Osmosis Systems
Install the PSW switch in-line on the product water line between the booster pump and storage tank, positioning it as close to the tank as possible for accurate pressure readings. The normally closed electrical contact opens when the preset pressure is reached, cutting power to the pump motor. For standard residential RO systems with a hydropneumatic shut-off valve, use the 40 PSI model (PSW240-00 or PSW340-00). Higher or lower pressure ratings will prevent proper system shut-off — match the switch pressure to your tank's operating pressure.
Works With These Systems
Compatible with Aquatec and Shurflo booster pumps on residential and light commercial reverse osmosis systems. Choose 1/4" models (PSW220, PSW240, PSW260, PSW280) for standard RO tubing or 3/8" models (PSW340, PSW360, PSW380) for larger-diameter plumbing. The PSW240-00 directly replaces Shurflo 94-090-01 and the PSW340-00 replaces Shurflo 94-090-02. All models feature compact design for easy integration into existing installations and are factory pre-set and 100% tested before shipment.
