Greensand Plus is an oxidizing filter media engineered for the removal of soluble iron, manganese, and hydrogen sulfide from water supplies. The manganese dioxide coated silica sand core provides superior durability in low-TDS and low-hardness water conditions compared to standard Manganese Greensand, with tolerance for higher differential pressures and operating temperatures. This 0.5 cubic foot bag is compatible with both continuous and intermittent regeneration systems using potassium permanganate or chlorine.

System Design and Installation
Greensand Plus (model A8041-P) is compatible with vertical and horizontal pressure filter vessels as well as open gravity filter configurations. It is designed for use in continuous regeneration systems with potassium permanganate feed or intermittent regeneration systems using potassium permanganate or chlorine. This media requires initial regeneration prior to first use, as it is not shipped in regenerated form. Contact the bed with regenerant solution at 4 ounces of KMnO₄ or chlorine per cubic foot for a minimum of 4 hours, then rinse thoroughly before placing into service. Suitable for residential, commercial, and light industrial water treatment applications where iron, manganese, or hydrogen sulfide removal is required.
