INSTALLATION & USE

Installing Your Harmsco Pleated Cartridge

  1. Turn off water supply and relieve pressure from your 10" Big Blue housing by pressing the red pressure release button on top of the cap.
  2. Unscrew the filter sump using a housing wrench, remove the old cartridge, and clean the sump and O-ring with water.
  3. Insert the new Harmsco WaterBetter cartridge into the housing, ensuring it seats properly on the center standpipe, then hand-tighten the sump back onto the cap.
  4. Turn water supply back on slowly and check for leaks around the O-ring seal before returning system to full pressure.
  5. When pressure drop increases or flow diminishes, remove cartridge and rinse with a garden hose or pressure washer to restore performance (cleanable in most micron ratings).
