Mazzei - 4091 Series - 4.0" Male NPT Inlet/Outlet Connections (Dual 2.0" Male NPT Threaded Suction Ports)
4091 Series Chemical & Air Injector
The Mazzei 4091 Series injector uses differential pressure and precision-engineered venturi action to create vacuum suction for chemical or gas injection into high-volume water streams. Built for industrial and commercial applications requiring 4-inch connections, this injector delivers efficient mixing with minimal pressure loss and zero maintenance from moving parts.
Venturi Injection Process
Pressurized Water Entry
Incoming water flows through the 4.0" male NPT inlet and is constricted toward the injection chamber, accelerating into a high-velocity jet stream.
Suction Creation
Increased velocity through the injection chamber drops absolute pressure, creating vacuum at the dual 2.0" male NPT suction ports that draws in chemicals, air, oxygen, ozone, or other additives.
Internal Vane Microbubbles
Patented internal mixing vanes create thousands of microbubbles, dramatically increasing surface area contact between gas and liquid for superior solubility and dispersion.
Outlet Flow Resumption
The jet stream diffuses toward the 4.0" male NPT outlet, velocity decreases, and thoroughly mixed water exits with only minimal pressure differential from inlet to outlet.
Available Construction Options
Mazzei 4091 Series injectors are available in polypropylene (PP) for cost-effective acid and alkali resistance, polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) for higher pressure and temperature with ozone and UV resistance, or ECTFE for extreme alkaline environments above pH 10. All materials are precision-molded for consistent performance, with PVDF available in natural or dyed finishes and NSF 61 / FDA compliance when specified. Select material based on chemical compatibility, operating pressure, temperature, and UV exposure requirements.
Industrial Water Treatment Applications
The 4091 Series with 4.0" male NPT connections is designed for high-flow municipal water treatment, aquaculture aeration, industrial ozone injection, chemical dosing in cooling towers, and large-scale irrigation fertigation. Operates over a wide pressure range with minimal differential pressure required to initiate suction. Compatible with liquid chemicals, compressed air, oxygen, ozone, and other gases. Dual 2.0" male NPT suction ports allow for redundant injection or dual-chemical systems. No electrical power or moving parts simplifies installation and eliminates routine maintenance.
