INSTALLATION & USE

How to Install the Mazzei ISO 484 Injector

  1. Thread the 15mm Male BSPT inlet connection into your water supply line, ensuring a tight seal with appropriate thread sealant or tape rated for your application pressure.
  2. Connect the outlet side to your downstream piping, maintaining adequate back pressure to optimize suction performance at the injection port.
  3. Attach your chemical or gas feed line to the 0.25" barbed suction port cap, ensuring the feed source is positioned to allow gravity or pump-assisted flow into the venturi chamber.
  4. Gradually open the supply valve and verify suction at the injection port by observing chemical draw or using a vacuum gauge before full operation.
  5. Adjust inlet pressure and outlet restriction as needed to achieve your target injection ratio, referencing Mazzei performance curves for your specific model variation.
COMPATIBILITY

Material Selection & Thread Compatibility

The ISO 484 Series is available in green polypropylene (GRPP) for cost-effective resistance to most acids and alkalis, or blue PVDF for advanced applications requiring higher pressure, temperature, and UV resistance along with superior chemical compatibility including ozone, sulfuric acid, nitric acid, and chlorine. Note that 15mm Male BSPT threads are interchangeable with 0.5" Male NPT PVDF injectors due to identical threads per inch. BSPT sizing does not correspond to ruler measurements—a 15mm BSPT actually measures approximately 0.825 inches in diameter. Select X-series variations for liquid-only injection with higher suction rates at lower outlet pressures, or A/C variations for different connection size configurations.

🔧 Mazzei venturi injectors require minimal pressure differential to generate suction, but performance improves with proper back pressure on the outlet side. If suction seems weak, try adding a ball valve downstream and restricting flow slightly to increase the pressure drop across the venturi chamber.
