Mazzei - ISO 878 Series - 25mm Male BSPT Inlet/Outlet Connections (0.50" Barbed/Male NPT Threaded Suction Port Cap)
ISO 878 Series Technical Specs
Performance & Construction
| Model Series | Mazzei ISO 878 |
| Inlet Connection | 25mm Male BSPT (measures approximately 1.041" diameter) |
| Outlet Connection | 25mm Male BSPT (measures approximately 1.041" diameter) |
| Suction Port Cap | 0.50" Barbed/Male NPT Threaded |
| Operating Principle | Differential pressure with venturi effect and internal mixing vanes |
| Material Options | Polypropylene (Green GRPP), PVDF (Blue or Natural), ECTFE |
| Maintenance Requirements | None — no moving parts to service or replace |
How the Mazzei ISO 878 Works
When pressurized water enters the injector inlet, it constricts through the injection chamber and accelerates into a high-velocity jet stream. This velocity increase creates a pressure drop that generates vacuum at the suction port, drawing liquid or gas additives into the water stream. The internal mixing vanes create thousands of microbubbles, dramatically increasing surface area for superior gas dissolution compared to conventional injection methods. As the jet diffuses toward the outlet, velocity reduces and flow resumes in a thoroughly mixed state with minimal energy loss. The ISO 878 Series operates over a wide pressure range and requires only minimal differential pressure to initiate suction. Ideal for chemical dosing, ozone injection, oxygen enrichment, and pH adjustment in reverse osmosis pretreatment, aquaculture, irrigation, and industrial process water applications. Material selection depends on chemical compatibility: polypropylene for cost-effective acid/alkali resistance, PVDF for high-temperature and ozone applications with NSF 61 and FDA compliance (Natural PVDF), or ECTFE for extreme alkaline environments above pH 10. Note that BSPT threads measure larger than their nominal size—25mm BSPT measures approximately 1.041 inches actual diameter, not 25mm.
