Cartridge Replacement Process
- Shut off water supply to the filter housing and relieve pressure by opening a downstream faucet
- Use a filter wrench to unscrew the housing sump, remove the old cartridge, and clean the housing interior and o-ring
- Insert the new 20" x 2.5" carbon block cartridge, ensuring it seats properly in the housing base
- Reinstall the housing sump with a hand-tight seal, turn water back on, and check for leaks
- Flush the new filter for 3-5 minutes to remove carbon fines before normal use
