INSTALLATION & USE

Installing Your Pentek R Series Filter

  1. Shut off water supply and relieve system pressure before opening your 10" x 4.5" Big Blue housing
  2. Remove old cartridge and inspect housing sump for sediment buildup or damage to o-ring seal
  3. Insert Pentek R30-BB or R50-BB cartridge with open end facing up, ensuring proper seating against housing cap
  4. Hand-tighten housing sump, restore water pressure slowly, and check for leaks at all connection points
  5. When pressure drop increases or flow diminishes, remove cartridge and rinse with hose spray or backwash until media appears clean, then reinstall
