Installing Your Pentek Filter Housing
- Mount the housing bracket securely to the wall, ensuring adequate clearance below for sump removal during cartridge changes
- Apply thread sealant tape to 3/4" NPT pipe threads and tighten inlet and outlet connections hand-tight plus one full turn with a wrench
- Insert your chosen 10" x 2.5" filter cartridge into the clear sump, lubricate the Buna-N O-ring with food-grade silicone, and hand-tighten the blue cap until snug
- Open water supply slowly and use the pressure-relief button to purge trapped air, then check all connections for leaks
- Monitor the clear sump periodically for sediment accumulation and replace cartridges according to manufacturer recommendations or visible loading
