How to Fill and Install
- Unscrew both end caps from the Puregen EC-4510-W cartridge body
- Fill the cartridge with your selected filtration media (GAC, catalytic carbon, KDF, calcite, resin, or custom blends), leaving approximately 1/2" of headspace at the top
- Firmly reattach both end caps and ensure seals are properly seated
- Install the filled cartridge into your 10" Big Blue filter housing and hand-tighten the sump
- Run water through the cartridge for 5-10 minutes to rinse media fines and prime the filter before use

The Puregen EC-4510-W fits all standard 10-inch Big Blue filter housings with 4.5" diameter sumps. Popular media options include granular activated carbon (GAC) for chlorine and taste removal, catalytic carbon for chloramine reduction, KDF-55 or KDF-85 for heavy metal removal, calcite for pH correction, mixed-bed deionization resin for TDS polishing, and custom specialty blends. The internal sediment screen prevents media migration while allowing full flow contact with your chosen filtration material.
