Puregen - Poly Wound Pressure Vessels Base 2.5" NPT | Full Stainless Steel Jacket + Mineral Tank for Water Softeners, Backwashing Filter Systems
Technical Details
| Construction | Polyethylene inner shell with full stainless steel jacket |
| Base Connection | 2.5" NPT threaded inlet |
| Capacity Range | 2 to 49 gallons (flexible sizing options) |
| Burst Rating | Minimum 600 PSI (4:1 safety factor) |
| Cycle Testing | 250,000 cycles without leakage |
| Design Profile | Slim diameter for compact installations |
| Chemical Resistance | Advanced polymer formulation for long-term durability |
| Applications | Water softeners, backwashing filters, mineral tanks, resin beds |
Setup Process
- Select appropriate capacity vessel based on your system flow rate and regeneration cycle requirements
- Thread the 2.5" NPT base connection to your control valve or distribution system, using Teflon tape or pipe dope rated for potable water
- Fill vessel with appropriate media (resin for softeners, mineral media for backwashing filters) following manufacturer loading specifications
- Pressurize system gradually and inspect all connections for leaks before placing into service
System Integration
The Puregen Poly Wound Pressure Vessel works with all standard 2.5" NPT control valves and is compatible with ion exchange resins, greensand, catalytic carbon, and other backwashing filter media. Designed for residential and light commercial water softeners, iron filters, arsenic removal systems, and pH neutralization applications. The stainless steel jacket provides corrosion resistance in high-humidity environments while the polyethylene core ensures chemical compatibility with regenerant solutions including sodium chloride, potassium chloride, and potassium permanganate.
