Universal 20" Big Blue cartridge fitment
The PureT B908 series housing accepts all standard 20-inch Big Blue filter cartridges with 4.5" outer diameter. Compatible models include B908-BK34-PR, B908-BK34, B908-BK1-PR, B908-BK1, B908-BK112-PR, and B908-BK112 across 3/4", 1", and 1.5" NPT port configurations. Works with sediment filters, carbon blocks, pleated cartridges, wound polypropylene, and specialty media from all major manufacturers. Operating temperature range: 40°F to 100°F.
Cartridge replacement schedule
Sediment Pre-Filters
Replace 5 to 20 micron sediment cartridges based on water quality and flow rate reduction. Turbid well water may require more frequent changes.
Carbon Block Filters
Change activated carbon cartridges for chlorine, taste, and odor removal when performance declines or at maximum interval to prevent channeling.
Housing Inspection
Inspect o-rings, threads, and sump for wear or damage during cartridge changes. Replace o-rings if cracked or compressed. Clean sump interior with mild detergent.
Pressure Relief Check
Test pressure relief button function before each cartridge change. Always depressurize system before opening housing to prevent water discharge.
