The 8725-B Buna gasket is designed exclusively for Shelco BF Series basket-style filter housings. Buna-N material offers excellent resistance to petroleum oils, hydraulic fluids, aliphatic hydrocarbons, and general water service, making it suitable for industrial process water, oil and gas applications, and food and beverage filtration where NBR elastomers are approved. Not recommended for use with strong acids, ketones, or ozone-rich environments where EPDM or Viton would be more appropriate.
