Touch-Flo (SV-9C) Self-Piercing C-Clamp Style Feed Valve 1-4" Comp. w- Check Valve (Europe)
Touch-Flo SV-9C Technical Details
| Model Number | SV-9C |
| Manufacturer | Touch Flo |
| Outlet Connection | 1/4" Compression Fitting |
| Valve Type | Self-Piercing C-Clamp Style |
| Check Valve | Integrated One-Way Check Valve |
| Compatible Pipe Material | Copper Pipe Only |
| Region | Europe |
| Installation Method | Clamp-On, No Soldering Required |
How to Install the SV-9C Feed Valve
- Turn off the water supply and locate a suitable section of copper pipe. Ensure the pipe surface is clean and free from corrosion or debris.
- Position the C-clamp saddle valve around the copper pipe and tighten the clamp screw until secure. Do not overtighten to avoid damaging the pipe.
- Slowly turn the piercing screw clockwise to puncture the copper pipe. Once resistance is felt and water begins to flow, stop turning immediately.
- Connect your 1/4" tubing to the compression fitting outlet. The integrated check valve will prevent backflow automatically.
- Turn the water supply back on and inspect for leaks around the clamp and compression fitting. Tighten connections as needed.
Pipe Material Requirements
The Touch-Flo SV-9C is designed exclusively for use with copper pipe and must not be installed on flex tubing, PEX, CPVC, or any other flexible or plastic piping materials. The self-piercing mechanism requires the structural rigidity of copper to function correctly and create a leak-free seal. This valve is commonly used as a feed water source for reverse osmosis systems, under-sink filters, ice makers, and other point-of-use filtration equipment in European installations.
