Watts FMPE-38-W-250 Technical Details
| Model Number | Watts FMPE-38-W-250 |
| Outside Diameter | 3/8 inch OD |
| Length | 250 feet (roll) |
| Material | Linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE) |
| Maximum Pressure | 180 PSI at 70°F |
| Color | White |
| Temperature Range | Low-temperature flexible design |
| Chemical Resistance | Solvents, acids, alkalis, fuels |
Working with Polyethylene Tubing
- Cut tubing to required length using a sharp tubing cutter for clean, square ends that seat properly in fittings
- Inspect cut ends for burrs or deformation and trim again if necessary to ensure leak-free connections
- Insert tubing fully into push-to-connect or compression fittings until it bottoms out against the internal stop
- For long runs, support tubing every 3-4 feet to prevent sagging and maintain proper water flow
- Test all connections at operating pressure before putting the system into regular service
Application Range
The Watts FMPE-38-W-250 tubing works with reverse osmosis systems, water softeners, ice makers, misting systems, and chemical dosing equipment. The 3/8" OD sizing fits standard push-to-connect fittings from John Guest, SMC, and other manufacturers commonly used in residential and light commercial water treatment installations. This tubing is suitable for potable water, air transport, and many chemical applications where polyethylene compatibility is confirmed.
