Watts-OFTWH-R Residential Tankless One Flow Anti-Scale System
Residential Tankless OneFlow Anti-Scale System
The Watts OFTWH-R uses OneFlow media to transform dissolved hardness minerals into harmless microscopic crystals that stay suspended in water and won't adhere to surfaces. This tankless system installs before water heaters, appliances, or other equipment to protect against scale buildup without the salt, backwashing, or electricity required by traditional water softeners.
Template-Assisted Crystallization Process
Hard Water Enters OneFlow Media
Cold tap water flows through the 3/4" FNPT inlet and contacts the proprietary OneFlow media bed at up to 6 gallons per minute.
Hardness Minerals Transform
Calcium and magnesium ions bond to the media template and form microscopic seed crystals that release back into the water stream as stable, inactive particles.
Scale-Free Water Exits
Conditioned water with suspended crystals flows to your water heater or appliances, unable to form scale deposits on internal or external surfaces.
Media replacement: 2 yearsSystem Details
| Model Number | OFTWH-R |
| Flow Rate | 6 GPM |
| Connection Size | 3/4" FNPT inlet and outlet |
| Cartridge Height | 20 inches |
| Media Type | OneFlow TAC (Template-Assisted Crystallization) |
| Media Lifespan | 2 years or per manufacturer recommendation |
| Operating Pressure | 25–80 PSI recommended |
| Water Temperature | Cold water only (typically 40–90°F) |
| Power Requirements | None |
| Drain Required | No |
Application Guidelines
The Watts OFTWH-R is designed for residential cold water lines feeding tankless water heaters, conventional tank-style water heaters, washing machines, dishwashers, and other appliances vulnerable to scale buildup. Install upstream of the equipment you want to protect, ensuring adequate clearance below for cartridge replacement. This system does not remove hardness minerals or change TDS, so it will not affect the taste or feel of water like a traditional softener. Not suitable for hot water lines or applications requiring actual mineral removal.
