Housing Requirements

The AF-20-2011-BB is designed for standard 20-inch Big Blue filter housings with 4.5-inch inner diameter. This specialty filter works in whole-house configurations where heavy metal reduction and chlorine removal are primary concerns. Ideal for well water applications with elevated iron or mercury levels, or municipal water requiring chloramine and taste-odor treatment. Replace every 6-12 months depending on water quality and household usage.

🔧 Pro Tip: KDF media performs best in warmer water and benefits from occasional backflushing. If your Big Blue housing allows, install this filter in the second or third stage position after sediment pre-filtration to extend media life and prevent fouling from particulate matter.
