The Aries AF-20-3003-BB uses ResinTech CGS gel-type sulfonate polystyrene cation resin to eliminate hard water problems in standard 20-inch Big Blue housings. Oversized cartridge design delivers up to 50% more media capacity than standard cartridges, extending service life to approximately 84,000 mg/L before regeneration or replacement is needed.
Engineered for Hard Water Conditions

High-purity gel-type sulfonate polystyrene cation resin supplied in sodium form as uniform spherical beads. Exchanges calcium and magnesium ions for sodium, eliminating scale and hardness.
NSF Certified
Media meets NSF/ANSI Standard 44 for cation exchange water softeners and Standard 61 for drinking water system components. Full traceability and quality control on every cartridge.
Oversized Design
Larger cartridge body allows maximum media fill, increasing total capacity by up to 50% compared to standard 20" x 4.5" softening filters. Longer service intervals, fewer changeouts.

The AF-20-3003-BB is designed for all standard 20-inch Big Blue filter housings with 4.5-inch inner diameter. Ideal for residential applications including whole-house systems to eliminate spotting on dishes, soap film on showers, stiff laundry, and scale buildup in plumbing. Also suited for commercial and industrial use: laundry facilities, boiler makeup water, heat exchanger protection, spray nozzle systems, and pre-treatment ahead of reverse osmosis membranes. Not for use in water with free chlorine present.
