Hydronamic (CV18S-MxF) Check Valve - 1-8" MNPT x 1-8" FNPT
Hydronamic CV18S-MxF Technical Details
| Model Number | CV18S-MxF |
| Connection Size | 1/8" MNPT x 1/8" FNPT |
| Material | 303 Stainless Steel |
| Cracking Pressure | 1.0 psi ± 0.5 |
| O-Ring Options | Silicone, Buna, Viton, EPDM |
| Flow at 5 psi | 0.35 gpm |
| Flow at 10 psi | 0.64 gpm |
| Flow at 20 psi | 0.84 gpm |
Installing Your Check Valve
- Apply thread sealant tape to the 1/8" male NPT end, wrapping 3-4 turns clockwise.
- Thread the male end into your upstream fitting hand-tight, then tighten an additional quarter turn with a wrench.
- Connect your downstream line to the 1/8" female NPT port, ensuring the arrow on the valve body points in the direction of intended flow.
- Pressurize the system slowly and check all connections for leaks before full operation.
System Integration
The Hydronamic CV18S-MxF check valve works with reverse osmosis systems, booster pumps, water storage tanks, and any filtration setup requiring backflow prevention on 1/8" NPT connections. The low 1.0 psi cracking pressure makes it suitable for point-of-use systems and permeate lines where pressure drop must be minimized. Choose your o-ring compound based on water chemistry: Buna for standard municipal water, Viton for chlorinated or chemical-resistant applications, EPDM for high-temperature resistance, or Silicone for broad compatibility.
