Jaco - Male Connector Fitting with Ferrule Nut and Integral Sleeve - Kynar
Technical Details
| Brand | Jaco |
| Material | Kynar (PVDF) |
| Fitting Type | Male Connector with Ferrule Nut and Integral Sleeve |
| Pressure Rating | 1/8" size: 50 psi | 1/4" and up: 220 psi |
| Temperature Range | -80°F to 275°F |
| Thread Type | National Pipe Thread (NPT) |
| Certifications | FDA compliant, NSF listed |
| Application | Low pressure soft plastic tubing connections |
How to Install
- Verify NPT thread size using actual diameter measurement, not nominal size. A 1/4" NPT measures 0.540" on a ruler, not 0.250".
- Insert soft plastic tubing through ferrule nut, then slide tubing onto the male connector body until fully seated.
- Tighten ferrule nut hand-tight onto NPT threads. The integral sleeve compresses to create a leak-free seal.
- For high pressure applications above 50 psi on 1/8" fittings, add a gripper insert to increase pressure rating to 220 psi.
- Test connections at operating pressure before placing system into service.
Recommended Tubing and Applications
Use Jaco Kynar fittings exclusively with Kynar, PTFE, FEP, and PFA tubing for optimal chemical compatibility. Kynar material resists highly corrosive fluids, chlorine, acids, and UV degradation, making these fittings ideal for chemical feed systems, reverse osmosis concentrate lines, and laboratory water applications. The integral sleeve design works best with soft plastic tubing in low to moderate pressure installations up to 220 psi.
