INSTALLATION & USE

Installing Your Inline Carbon Filter

  1. Shut off water supply and depressurize system before installing the CL10ROT33 inline filter
  2. Thread filter into 3/8" NPT fittings, ensuring inlet flow matches the directional arrow on the filter body if marked
  3. Hand-tighten connections and use a wrench to snug fittings without over-torquing plastic threads
  4. Flush filter for 3-5 minutes to remove carbon fines before connecting to RO membrane or dispensing system
  5. Replace filter annually or when water flow diminishes noticeably
COMPATIBILITY

Applications & Interchangeability

The Omnipure CL10ROT33 is compatible with reverse osmosis systems, drinking water filtration setups, ice machines, water coolers, and fountain equipment requiring chlorine reduction. This filter uses NPT threads and is interchangeable with Omnipure models CL10ROT40-B and CL10ROT40-C. The T40 carbon media can be substituted with T28 or T33 media in the same housing for varying chlorine reduction requirements. Coconut shell carbon provides better taste and odor removal than coal-based carbon alternatives.

🔧 NPT threads measure larger than their nominal size—3/8" NPT actually measures 0.675" on a ruler, not 0.375". Always verify thread size with calipers or the chart above before ordering replacement filters to avoid compatibility issues.
