Omnipure - K2585 - 10" x 2" ALL Phosphate - Scale Inhibitor Inline Filter
10" x 2" K2585 All Phosphate Scale Inhibitor Inline Filter
Polyphosphate media prevents scale buildup and corrosion in appliances, RO systems, and beverage equipment without removing beneficial minerals
Polyphosphate sequestration for hardness control
Scale Prevention
Polyphosphate binds to calcium and magnesium, preventing hard water minerals from forming scale deposits on heating elements and internal components
Corrosion Inhibition
Creates a protective microscopic layer on metal surfaces inside pipes and equipment, reducing oxidation and extending appliance life
Mineral Retention
Does not remove hardness minerals from water, only prevents them from depositing. Keeps beneficial minerals intact for taste and health
Universal Inline Design
Standard 1/4" NPT female threaded ports on both ends. Installs in line with ice makers, RO systems, beverage equipment, or under-counter filters
Omnipure K2585 technical data

Where to use the K2585
This inline phosphate filter works with residential and commercial applications including ice makers, refrigerator water lines, beverage dispensers, coffee machines, drinking fountains, reverse osmosis pretreatment, point-of-use systems, and any application where hard water scale is a concern. The 1/4" NPT female threads are compatible with standard John Guest, push-to-connect, and threaded fittings used across most water treatment equipment.
Replacement schedule for the K2585
Standard Replacement
Replace the K2585 inline filter every six months or sooner if you notice scale buildup returning to appliances or equipment
Heavy Use Conditions
In very hard water areas (above 10 grains per gallon), consider replacing every 3-4 months to maintain effective scale inhibition
Flow Direction
Install inline with flow direction marked on the filter body. Flush system for 30 seconds after installation to clear any loose phosphate crystals
Made by Omnipure
Omnipure K-Series filters are manufactured in the USA with NSF-certified food-grade materials and strict quality control
Drop-In Replacement
Standard 10" x 2" inline dimensions and 1/4" NPT threading make this a direct replacement for most phosphate inline filters
Appliance Protection
Preventing scale buildup extends the life of water heaters, ice machines, and RO membranes, saving on costly repairs and replacements
