Omnipure K5640 Technical Details
Interchangeable carbon models
The Omnipure K5640 T40 carbon is interchangeable with T28, T33, and T40 models in the K-Series line. Commonly used as pre-filtration for reverse osmosis systems, in drinking fountains, ice machines, and commercial beverage equipment. Note: 1/4" NPT threads measure approximately 0.540" on a ruler, not 0.25". Wrap all threaded fittings with Teflon tape before installation and tighten firmly.
Replacement schedule for the K5640
Flush Before Use
Flush new cartridge with 5 gallons of water and check all connections for leaks before putting into service
Replace Cartridge
Replace when rated capacity is reached or when flow rate becomes too slow for your application needs
Flow Rate Check
Monitor flow performance regularly. Reduced flow indicates carbon exhaustion or particulate loading even before capacity limit
