Omnipure - K5655 - 12" x 2.5" DI Mixbed Inline Filter
K5655 Mixed Bed DI Inline Filter
The Omnipure K5655 uses pharmaceutical-grade mixed bed deionization resin to remove dissolved ions from pre-filtered water, reducing total dissolved solids to near-zero levels. This inline cartridge installs between existing filter stages or as a final polishing step in reverse osmosis systems where ultra-pure water is required.
K5655-BB & K5655-JJ Model Details
| Dimensions | 12" length × 2.5" diameter |
| Filtration Media | DI mixed bed resin (anion and cation exchange) |
| Connection Type | 1/4" Female NPT (FPT) and 1/4" Quick Connect (QC) |
| Micron Rating | 0.2 micron |
| Application | Post-RO deionization, laboratory grade water, spot-free rinse |
| Flow Direction | In-to-out through resin bed |
| Model Variations | K5655-BB (dual FPT), K5655-JJ (dual QC) |
System Integration
The K5655 installs inline after sediment, carbon, and reverse osmosis membrane stages in existing RO systems or as a standalone polishing filter for laboratory and industrial applications. Both 1/4" Female NPT threads and 1/4" quick connect fittings are included on both ends for flexible installation. Note that NPT threads measure approximately 0.540" in actual diameter, not 0.25" as the fractional name suggests. Replace the cartridge when TDS begins to rise or water conductivity increases, typically indicated by a handheld TDS meter reading above your target threshold.
