Omnipure - K5668 - 12" x 2.5" GAC with 1 lb of KDF-55 Inline

Omnipure K-Series Inline Filter

K5668 12" x 2.5" GAC with KDF-55

Granular activated carbon paired with one pound of KDF-55 media for chlorine removal, heavy metal reduction, and bacterial control in a compact inline design

1/4" & 3/8" NPT GAC + KDF-55 12" x 2.5"
WHY IT WORKS

Dual-media filtration for comprehensive water treatment

🥄

1 Pound of KDF-55

High-purity copper-zinc alloy reduces water-soluble heavy metals, controls scale buildup, and inhibits bacterial and algae growth through redox reactions

Granular Activated Carbon

GAC media targets chlorine taste and odor, organic compounds, and volatile chemicals for cleaner-tasting water in ice makers, beverage equipment, and drinking fountains

🔧

Dual NPT Fittings

Comes with both 1/4" FPT and 3/8" FPT female pipe thread connections for flexible installation in RO systems, under-counter setups, or inline applications

💧

Rated for 0.5 GPM

Flow rate designed for point-of-use applications including refrigerators, ice machines, and beverage dispensers. Maximum operating pressure 125 PSI, temperature up to 100°F

COMPATIBILITY

Where the K5668 fits

This Omnipure K-Series inline filter works in reverse osmosis systems, under-counter drinking water systems, ice makers, refrigerators, beverage equipment, drinking fountains, and any water purification setup requiring chlorine and heavy metal reduction with KDF media. Also known as K5668-BB and K5668-CC depending on configuration. Note that NPT fittings measure larger than their nominal size—1/4" NPT measures approximately 0.540" in diameter, and 3/8" NPT measures approximately 0.675" in diameter when measured with a ruler.

MAINTENANCE

Replacement schedule for the K5668

Every 6-12 Months

Standard Replacement

Replace the K5668 filter cartridge based on water quality and usage. Heavy metal or chlorine levels may require more frequent changes. Monitor for decreased flow rate or taste changes.

As Needed

High-Demand Applications

In commercial beverage or ice-making equipment with high daily volume, inspect the filter quarterly. KDF media effectiveness diminishes with heavy use, especially in municipal water with high chlorine.

🛡️

KDF-55 Protection

Redox media reduces heavy metals and controls microbial growth

🧊

Ideal for Ice & Beverage

Removes chlorine taste that affects ice quality and drink flavor

🔩

Dual NPT Connections

Both 1/4" and 3/8" fittings included for versatile installation
