Where the K5668 fits
This Omnipure K-Series inline filter works in reverse osmosis systems, under-counter drinking water systems, ice makers, refrigerators, beverage equipment, drinking fountains, and any water purification setup requiring chlorine and heavy metal reduction with KDF media. Also known as K5668-BB and K5668-CC depending on configuration. Note that NPT fittings measure larger than their nominal size—1/4" NPT measures approximately 0.540" in diameter, and 3/8" NPT measures approximately 0.675" in diameter when measured with a ruler.
Replacement schedule for the K5668
Standard Replacement
Replace the K5668 filter cartridge based on water quality and usage. Heavy metal or chlorine levels may require more frequent changes. Monitor for decreased flow rate or taste changes.
High-Demand Applications
In commercial beverage or ice-making equipment with high daily volume, inspect the filter quarterly. KDF media effectiveness diminishes with heavy use, especially in municipal water with high chlorine.
KDF-55 Protection
Redox media reduces heavy metals and controls microbial growth
Ideal for Ice & Beverage
Removes chlorine taste that affects ice quality and drink flavor
Dual NPT Connections
Both 1/4" and 3/8" fittings included for versatile installation
Omnipure Quality
Trusted K-Series inline filters built for consistent performance
