Installing Your Phosphate Inline Filter
- Select the appropriate FPT fitting size (1/8", 1/4", or 3/8") based on your system's tubing and connect the SL10 inline using threaded connections.
- Install the filter in the water line before your appliance or reverse osmosis system, ensuring the flow direction arrow on the housing points toward the outlet.
- Flush the filter for 2-3 minutes to remove any loose media or carbon fines before putting the system into regular service.
- Replace the filter every 6 months or after 1,250 gallons, whichever comes first, to maintain optimal scale inhibition and chlorine reduction.
Applications & System Integration
The Omnipure SL10 phosphate inline filter is compatible with ice machines, water coolers, drinking fountains, under-sink filtration systems, and reverse osmosis units. The multiple NPT fitting options (1/8", 1/4", and 3/8") allow for flexible installation in residential and light commercial applications where scale control is needed. This filter works particularly well in areas with hard water to protect equipment and improve water quality without requiring a full water softening system.
