INSTALLATION & USE

How to Install the RFC20-BB Filter

  1. Shut off water supply and relieve pressure from the filter housing by opening the pressure relief valve.
  2. Unscrew the 20" Big Blue housing sump, remove the old filter, and clean the housing interior and o-ring groove.
  3. Insert the RFC20-BB filter vertically into the housing, ensuring the open end faces up and the filter seats properly on the standpipe.
  4. Apply a thin layer of food-grade silicone grease to the o-ring, reseat the housing sump, and hand-tighten firmly.
  5. Slowly turn on water supply, check for leaks, and flush the filter for 3-5 minutes to purge air and prime the carbon bed.
