Accepts Standard 10-Inch Filter Cartridges
This Pentek Slim Line housing accepts any standard 10" x 2.5" diameter filter cartridge, including sediment filters, carbon block filters, pleated filters, and specialty cartridges. Common applications include pre-RO filtration, post-RO polishing, under-sink drinking water systems, ice makers, coffee equipment, humidifiers, and light commercial filtration.
Filter Cartridge Replacement
Sediment Filters
Replace 5 or 1 micron sediment cartridges every 3-6 months depending on water quality and flow volume. Clear sump shows sediment buildup.
Carbon Block Filters
Replace carbon block cartridges every 6-12 months for chlorine, taste, and odor reduction. Performance degrades over time even if flow remains steady.
O-Ring Inspection
Inspect the Buna-N O-ring each time you change the filter. Replace if cracked, flattened, or hardened. Lubricate lightly with silicone grease during reassembly.
