INSTALLATION & USE

Filter Replacement Process

  1. Shut off water supply and depressurize the system by opening a downstream faucet
  2. Unscrew the filter housing using a housing wrench, remove the old filter cartridge, and clean the housing sump with mild soap
  3. Install the new PureT CBCM filter into the housing, ensuring proper seating on the center post
  4. Lubricate the O-ring with food-grade silicone, hand-tighten the housing, and check for leaks after restoring water pressure
  5. Flush the filter for 3-5 minutes to remove carbon fines and activate the media before normal use

It is designed for point-of-use applications, whole house pre-filtration, well water systems, and as essential pre-filtration for reverse osmosis systems where chloramine is present in municipal water supplies. This filter removes soluble organic compounds including pesticides and dioxins, volatile organic compounds like chloroform and petrochemicals, and both chlorine and chloramines that can damage RO membranes and affect water taste and odor.
