PureT - SC Series - 10" x 2.5" String Wound Cartridge Filter
Key Performance Data
Construction & Performance
| Filtration Type | True depth filtration with graduated density |
| Media Migration | Extremely low due to one-piece wound construction |
| Chemical Compatibility | Concentrated acids, alkalis, strong oxidizers, corrosive fluids and gases |
| Microorganism Resistance | Excellent resistance to bacterial growth |
| Disposal | Easily incinerated to trace of ash |
| Filter Life | Varies by feed water quality; 6 month replacement recommended |
| Core & Media Variations | Multiple material combinations available for specific chemical environments |
Where This Filter Works
The PureT SC Series string wound cartridge is ideal for both whole house sediment filtration and pre-filtration for reverse osmosis systems. Common applications include mineral acids, organic solvents, caustic soda, plating solutions, ferric hydroxide, ethyl alcohol, zinc chloride, animal and vegetable oils, oxidizing agents, potable water, demineralized water, photographic solutions, and pre-membrane protection in RO installations. The polypropylene construction makes it suitable for aggressive industrial fluids where chemical resistance is critical, while also serving residential and commercial water treatment when sediment removal is needed before carbon or RO stages. FDA-compliant versions are available for food-grade and beverage applications.
