PureT - SCPT Series - 20" x 2.5" Pleated Filter
PureT SCPT Series Technical Details
| Model Series | PureT SCPT |
| Dimensions | 20" x 2.5" |
| Micron Ratings | 1, 5, and 10 micron |
| Filter Media | Reusable polyester fabric |
| Filtration Type | Pleated sediment filter |
| Applications | Well water, whole-house filtration |
| Maintenance | Cleanable and reusable |
| Construction | No additives or binders |
Filter Replacement Process
- Shut off water supply and relieve system pressure by opening a downstream faucet
- Unscrew filter housing, remove old cartridge, and clean housing sump with mild soap and water
- Insert new PureT SCPT filter cartridge into housing, ensuring proper seating and o-ring alignment
- Hand-tighten housing, turn water supply back on, and check for leaks while system pressurizes
- Run water for 2-3 minutes to flush the new filter before normal use
Housing Requirements
The PureT SCPT Series requires a standard 20" x 2.5" filter housing compatible with whole-house or well water systems. The pleated polyester construction provides superior surface area compared to spun polypropylene, making it ideal for applications with heavy sediment loads where frequent cartridge cleaning is preferred over disposable replacement. Choose 1 micron for fine sediment and particle removal, 5 micron for general whole-house protection, or 10 micron for well water pre-filtration ahead of finer stages.
