Filter Replacement Process
- Shut off water supply and relieve system pressure by opening a downstream faucet
- Unscrew the 20" Big Blue housing sump using a filter wrench, then remove the old cartridge
- Clean the housing interior and o-ring sealing surfaces with mild detergent, rinse thoroughly
- Insert the new PureT SC Series cartridge, ensuring proper seating in the housing base
- Lubricate the o-ring with food-grade silicone grease, hand-tighten the sump, then slowly turn water back on and check for leaks

This filter excels in pre-membrane filtration, plating solutions, mineral acids, caustic soda, organic solvents, potable water, demineralized water, and photographic solutions. Available micron ratings (1, 5, 10, 50) allow customization for particle removal from coarse sediment to fine pre-RO filtration. The polypropylene construction resists micro-organism growth and can be incinerated to trace ash.
