How to Install the Watts AquaLock Female Swivel Elbow
- Ensure tubing is cut square and clean, without burrs or debris that could compromise the seal.
- Push the tubing firmly into the AquaLock fitting until it bottoms out and you feel resistance—no tools or thread sealant required.
- Rotate the swivel elbow to the desired angle for your installation, then hand-tighten the female threaded end to the mating NPT connection.
- Pressurize the system slowly and check all connections for leaks before putting the system into full service.
Tubing & Connection Compatibility
The Watts AquaLock Female Swivel Elbow works with copper, CPVC, PEX, LDPE, MDPE, HDPE, and polypropylene tubing in sizes ranging from 3/8" OD (1/4" CTS) to 1-1/8" OD (1" CTS). The female threaded end accepts standard NPT male connections from 1/4" to 2" depending on the model. This versatility makes it compatible with most reverse osmosis systems, whole-house filters, ice makers, and residential plumbing applications. Match your tubing outside diameter to the corresponding copper tube size (CTS) rating for a secure, leak-free connection.
