How to Install AquaLock Union Tees
- Cut tubing square using a proper tube cutter and ensure the end is clean, deburred, and free of scratches or damage.
- Mark the tubing insertion depth using the depth indicator on the fitting body to confirm full seating during installation.
- Push the tubing firmly into the AquaLock fitting until it bottoms out, then tug gently to verify the collet has engaged and locked the tube in place.
- Thread the male NPT connection hand-tight into the corresponding female port, then tighten an additional 1 to 1.5 turns using a wrench while supporting the fitting body.
- Pressurize the system slowly and inspect all connections for leaks before placing the installation into service.
Tubing & Thread Size Reference
AquaLock fittings accommodate polypropylene tubing sizes from 3/8" OD (1/4" CTS) through 1-1/8" OD (1" CTS), with male NPT thread sizes ranging from 1/4" NPT (0.540" OD) to 2" NPT (2.375" OD). This union tee configuration is ideal for creating branch connections in reverse osmosis systems, whole-house filtration manifolds, and commercial water treatment installations where toolless assembly and disassembly are required for maintenance access.
