How to Install AquaLock Reducing Union

  1. Cut tubing square using a tubing cutter, deburr the outside edge, and ensure the cut is clean with no scoring.
  2. Mark the tube at the insertion depth indicated on the fitting body to confirm full insertion.
  3. Push the tubing firmly into the fitting until you feel it bottom out and the mark reaches the face of the fitting.
  4. To disconnect, push the release collar toward the fitting body while pulling the tubing out.
COMPATIBILITY

Tubing Size Reference

AquaLock fittings connect polypropylene tubing by outside diameter to copper tube size equivalents: 3/8" OD to 1/4" CTS, 1/2" OD to 3/8" CTS, 5/8" OD to 1/2" CTS, 7/8" OD to 3/4" CTS, and 1-1/8" OD to 1" CTS. The reducing union allows you to step down from larger to smaller pipe sizes in any compatible material combination. This fitting is commonly used in reverse osmosis systems, water filtration installations, refrigerator lines, and general plumbing applications where dissimilar pipe sizes or materials need to be joined without soldering or threading.

🔧 Pro Tip: Before inserting tubing, slide the release collar back to inspect the O-ring and grab ring inside the fitting. Any dirt or debris in the fitting body will compromise the seal, so keep fittings capped until installation.
