Compatible to Intelifil (IF-SM-CC020) 20"x2.5" 10,000 Gal. Calcite Low pH Neutralizier Filter by IPW Industries Inc
Calcite pH Neutralizing Filter 20" x 2.5" by IPW Industries
Naturally occurring calcite media dissolves slowly into acidic water, raising pH while adding beneficial calcium
Self-Limiting pH Correction
Calcite calcium carbonate dissolves only in acidic conditions, naturally stopping at neutral pH without risk of over-correction or caustic water.
Remineralizes RO Water
Adds calcium back into reverse osmosis water, improving taste and making it less aggressive on plumbing while raising total dissolved solids to healthy levels.
Protects Well Systems
Prevents acidic water from corroding copper pipes, brass fittings, and appliances. Extends the life of water heaters, pumps, and plumbing infrastructure.
NSF Certified Media
Uses NSF Standard 60 certified Calcite media, meeting strict safety standards for drinking water treatment with no chemical additives or synthetic materials.
Controlled Reaction Rate
Calcite reacts slower than alternatives like Corosex, providing gentle, consistent pH adjustment ideal for whole-house systems and point-of-use applications.
Watts-compatible 20" standard cartridge with calcium carbonate media
| Dimensions | 20 inches x 2.5 inches |
| Filtration Rating | 10 micron nominal |
| Filter Media | Calcium Carbonate (Calcite) |
| Capacity | 10,000 gallons |
| Flow Rate | 1 GPM maximum |
| Temperature Range | 40°F to 100°F |
| Weight | 6 lbs |
| Certification | NSF Standard 60 |
Direct replacement for Intelifil and standard 20" x 2.5" housings
This IPW Industries cartridge is manufactured to replace the Intelifil IF-SM-CC020 calcite pH neutralizer filter. It fits any standard 20-inch filter housing with 2.5-inch diameter capacity, including Watts, Pentek, Hydronix, and most whole-house or well water filtration systems. Compatible with both vertical and horizontal housing orientations.
Replace when pH stops rising or flow decreases significantly
Typical Replacement
For a household using 300 gallons per day, expect 10-12 months of service. Actual lifespan depends on incoming pH level and water hardness.
Test Water Monthly
Check outgoing pH with test strips or meter. When pH stops rising above incoming levels, the calcite media is depleted and the cartridge needs replacement.
Watch Pressure Drop
Significant pressure loss or reduced flow rate indicates clogging from dissolved minerals or sediment. Replace filter even if capacity hasn't been reached.
Post-Treatment Option
Calcite increases water hardness as it dissolves. If hardness becomes a concern, install a water softener downstream from the pH neutralizer.
Drop-In Replacement
No modifications needed. Fits standard 20-inch housings from any manufacturer. Replace in minutes.
Cost-Effective pH Control
Calcite media is inexpensive compared to chemical feed pumps or soda ash systems. No electricity or maintenance.
Natural Mineral Source
Food-grade calcium carbonate from limestone. No synthetic chemicals or harsh additives in your drinking water.
Manufactured by IPW
IPW Industries produces compatible cartridges with the same specs as OEM filters at a better value without sacrificing quality.
