Pentek - C1-20 - 20" x 2.5" Activated Carbon-Impregnated 5 Micron Filter
C1-20 Activated Carbon-Impregnated Filter
The Pentek C1-20 combines particulate filtration with chemical adsorption in a carbon-impregnated cellulose cartridge. Rated at 5 microns nominal, it removes fine sediment while reducing chlorine, taste, and odor from municipal water supplies. Built with polyester reinforcement and external netting for increased dirt-loading capacity and structural integrity.
What Makes the C1-20 Effective
Carbon-Impregnated Media
Activated carbon particles embedded throughout cellulose fibers provide chemical reduction while maintaining sediment filtration
Reinforced Construction
Polyester backing and external polyethylene netting increase strength and dirt-holding capacity beyond standard cellulose cartridges
Dual-Purpose Filtration
Removes particulates down to 5 microns while simultaneously reducing chlorine taste, odor, and organic compounds
Low Pressure Drop
Only 1.0 psi at 5 GPM flow rate maintains system efficiency in whole-house and point-of-use applications
High Capacity
Rated for up to 5,000 gallons depending on water quality, providing extended service intervals in most residential applications
Wide Temperature Range
Operational from 40°F to 145°F allows use in both cold water and warm process applications
