Replacement schedule for the UltraCarb FRX02
Surface Cleaning
Remove candle from housing and gently scrub the outer ceramic surface with a soft brush or Scotch-Brite pad under running water. This restores flow rate and removes accumulated sediment.
Full Replacement
Replace the entire UltraCarb candle after 2,300 liters or 600 gallons of use, whichever comes first. Actual lifespan depends on source water quality and sediment load.
Flow Rate Check
If flow drops significantly even after cleaning, or if you notice taste and odor breakthrough, replace the candle regardless of gallons filtered. The carbon core cannot be regenerated.
